Abigail is the Head of Child Advocacy and Engagement. In her work, she champions both diversity and inclusion throughout TLG's programmes, policy, and internal work. TLG believes that a healthy community is diverse and that it celebrates people’s differences, because we live in a world full of people who are unique and beautifully different.

TLG is deeply disturbed to see new figures released by the government yesterday that the number of children eligible for free school meals has risen sharply to almost 1.9 million, an increase of almost a third since the beginning of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Paul is the founder of Reading4Life, a project to help young people understand their frustrations, anxieties and feelings in a rich and meaningful way. Reading4Life is part of our TLG Future Builders community, supporting our work as we aim to reach more struggling children across the UK.

A Day in the Life - North Birmingham Education Centre

Join Headteacher James and the Birmingham team as they take us through their day, from before the students arrive to after they have gone home. Each day looks a little different, but at the heart of every day is an ongoing resolve to transform the lives of children struggling in school, so that they find hope for their future.

James is the Headteacher at one of TLG's Education Centres. He is married with 2 young children. He began his teaching career as a primary school teacher in Stoke-on-Trent and has been at TLG since 2016!
