Refer a child to a TLG Therapeutic Hub
Who is this support for?
Therapeutic Hubs support children and young people [aged 5–25] experiencing emotional or mental-health difficulties. That includes the ‘missing middle’ - children whose needs sit below the CAMHS threshold but who are still struggling — and children who meet the threshold but face long waits for specialist support. We work alongside statutory services, offering help while children wait rather than in place of what they need. Services are tailored to be age and developmentally appropriate and each child or young person will be matched with a practitioner whose experience and specialisms are right for them.
Every referral is carefully assessed so we can understand what the child or young person needs and whether a Therapeutic Hub is the right support for them. We’re not a crisis service, but if a young person needs urgent or specialist help, we won’t leave the family to navigate that alone - we’ll work with them and other agencies to help them access the right support.

What we are and aren’t
Therapeutic Hubs provide early and ongoing therapeutic support. We are not a crisis or emergency service, and we do not replace NHS specialist or statutory provision. We assess every referral — and if we can't safely support a young person, we'll work with you and other agencies to get them the urgent help they need. If a child is at immediate risk of harm, call 999 or follow your safeguarding procedures.
