Our programmes
All TLG programmes are underpinned by a commitment to ensuring that children and families struggling with their emotional and mental wellbeing receive therapeutic, trauma-informed, compassionate support.
TLG Early Intervention
One coach, one child, one hour a week.
All over the UK, children are struggling in school for all kinds of reasons and many families are suffering without hope. Poverty, bereavement, family breakdown, abuse or growing up within the care system can have a devastating impact on a child’s wellbeing, leaving them isolated and anxious.
TLG Early Intervention partners with local churches, equipping everyday Christians to provide one-to-one coaching to children in their local schools, giving their coached child deep-rooted care through listening and talking.
Every week, when a trusted coach meets with a child struggling with their emotional and mental wellbeing, they offer real hope – sustained, trauma-informed, compassionate hope that changes young lives.
TLG Make Lunch
Community, belonging and meals that matter.
Across the UK, 4.3 million children live in poverty, leaving many families struggling with food insecurity, isolation, and mental health challenges. School holidays are especially tough, with children missing out on meals, friendships, and activities.
TLG Make Lunch partners with local churches to provide safe spaces where families enjoy nutritious meals, fun activities, and a sense of belonging. TLG equips churches with volunteer training, safeguarding support, and bespoke trauma-informed resources to help those struggling emotionally. Clubs are then well positioned to respond quickly to emerging crises and connect families with the broader church community and other local support services.
Beyond the holidays, TLG Make Lunch clubs foster lasting connections, ensuring families feel supported year-round. Together, we’re tackling food insecurity and isolation – with community, belonging and meals that matter.
TLG Therapeutic Hubs
Across every community, too many children are quietly struggling with emotional and mental health challenges. Some are waiting months for support. Others don’t meet the threshold for specialist services. But no child should have to face tough times alone.
That’s where a TLG Therapeutic Hub comes in. Hosted in churches and schools, and delivered by TLG, each hub provides meaningful, therapeutic care for children, young people (ages 5-25) and families – not just a listening ear, but access to trained counsellors alongside compassionate ongoing family support.
Our hubs offer regular one-to-one counselling with qualified, trauma-informed practitioners, as well as group interventions, parent support and family-focused care.
TLG Coaching Academy and Network
As children and young people across the UK experience unprecedented levels of anxiety, emotional dysregulation and mental health challenges, there is an increasing pressure on those working and volunteering with children and young people. Too often, they are operating without the training and confidence they wish they had.
The TLG Coaching Academy is an accredited programme equipping ministry leaders, volunteers and youth workers to confidently support children and young people using trauma-informed, therapeutic approaches. Built on over 26 years of TLG’s experience, it’s ideal for those new to coaching or looking to strengthen their skills.
TLG’s Coaching Network extends the support of the Coaching Academy so churches and participants can sustain effective ministry practice.
