Journey Makers Clubs

Exciting after school clubs that help children to explore life’s big questions.

Journey Makers after school clubs exist to provide children with a fun and safe space to explore ideas of purpose, citizenship, morals and their role within the community.

Alongside their church, our Journey Makers teams support children as they start to uncover some of life’s big questions, encouraging them to make their own positive life choices. Each club runs for an hour after school and is packed full of exciting games, energetic songs, interesting activities and fun, relevant teaching. Delivered on a weekly basis in a local primary school, every Journey Markers club becomes a celebrated part of a schools extra curricular provision.

I love Journey Makers because we can talk about what we’ve been doing. I like the games and the stories we learn. - Liam, aged 9

Reaching out to local families

Every child that attends a Journey Makers after school club also receives a home visit every single week. This is vital in building healthy positive relationships, creating a support network and bridging the gap between school and home life.

As well as providing our teams with all the training and resources to make these home visits the most fun they can be, we also train them to be able to spot the signs on need, and to signpost to people and places who can offer help.

At Journey Makers, our kids get taught good morals and manners. The weekly home visits have really made a difference to our family. We're so grateful! - Paul, Dad
