HR Advisor

Starting Salary: £23,262 - £25,594

We want to build a talented team that reflects the diversity of the communities that TLG serves and with this in mind, we are looking for someone wo can apply their experience of reaching and engaging potential BAME candidates to the TLG recruitment process. The role will also support in the guidance, advice and coaching for managers across TLG and partner organisations on the full range of HR activities.

You’ll need to love working with people, be great at building relationships to achieve outcomes, and have tenacity for high expectations when it comes to finding talent for TLG.  We’re looking for someone who thrives under pressure, influences others to great outcomes and has tried and tested methods of implementing HR strategy that leads to organisational performance. As the HR teams grow there will be opportunity to specialise and develop within the role.

National Development Phone Team

Starting Salary: £8.72 per hour
Working hours: 8 hours a week (usually Tuesday and Thursday, but subject to change on occasional basis)

The Supporter Development team is passionate about developing the UK-wide reach and support of TLG. We exist because of the partnership with our incredible supporters and volunteers throughout the UK. This exciting, growing team is dedicated to further inspiring and building relationships with supporters so that together we can have a greater impact on struggling children and their families.

This role involves phoning existing and potential supporters to inspire them about the life transforming work of TLG. With excellent communication skills, the post holder will be responsible for connecting with supporters about a range of opportunities for them to engage with, and increase, their support of the charity. This team also has a strong focus on updating supporter contact information, so a keen eye for detail is necessary.

The post holder will be warm, friendly, driven, passionate, have great IT skills, be a strong communicator and must share a strong desire to see the lives of more children and families impacted by the local church throughout the UK!

We are looking for individuals who have a strong and vibrant Christian faith. Working hours are 8 hours a week during term time, usually on a Tuesday or Thursday but occasionally subject to change.

TLG Bolton Teaching Assistant

Starting Salary: £17,223 - £19,217
Working hours: 37.50 Hours

Working as part of the TLG centre team in TLG Bolton, the Teaching Assistant post provides a unique opportunity to support young people experiencing educational crisis.

 

TLG Bolton is an Independent School delivering alternative education provision that delivers tailored social and educational interventions for young people. As the Teaching Assistant, you will play an integral role in enabling young people to get their lives back on track, through delivering innovative programmes and working with the Centre Manager to ensure that the education centre achieves success.

 

You will be part of a dedicated team committed to helping young people progress. The role involves providing one-to-one and group support to students in lessons, assisting with the planning and delivery of lessons as a crucial member of the team, leading sessions as timetabled, and bringing excellence to the young people’s learning experience. The individual will also act as a link between TLG’s students, their families and the church community.

 

We are looking to recruit an individual with a strong and compassionate Christian faith who is able to teach Maths, English, Art, PHSE and citizenship. In addition, the successful person will need to have experience of delivering interventions to support young people’s SEMH. TLG Bolton is a small team so the ability to blend with the existing members of the team will be critical.

Itinerant Centre Manager (South)

Starting Salary: £27,305 - £33,672 (FTE)
Working hours: 37.50 Hours Permanent contract

Location: based at our Reading Education Centre. To be deployed to any TLG education centre nationally - primarily the south of the UK.

Contract: Permanent

TLG is looking for a qualified teacher with a passion to turn around the lives of disaffected young people aged 12-16. Working across our growing network of 12 education centres (alternative provisions), and manage TLG centres for interim periods at a time, the Itinerant Centre Manager will be responsible for delivering exceptional educational programmes with imaginative curricula for disaffected young people, with proven skills and strategies to re-engage those on the verge of exclusion.

Working in partnership with a number of key stakeholders, and leading the local TLG team when on placement, the successful applicant will need to develop and maintain excellent relationships with schools, parents, referrers, and other agencies.

The successful candidate will have excellent team and communication skills and a successful track record in leadership and management, as well as a strong and vibrant Christian faith. TLG is committed to safeguarding our children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share in this commitment. The successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure via the DBS.

Reading Lead Teacher
