Volunteer Programmes Regional Leader (London)

Starting Salary: £14,413.20 – £15,864.60 (FTE £24,022 – £26,441) + London weighting (where appropriate)
Working hours: 22.50 Hours Three days a week. Specific days to be confirmed.
Closing Date: Thursday, April 30th, 2020

Location: Greater London, covering postcode areas: WD, HA, UB, NW, W, WC, SW, TW, KT, SM, CR, SE, BR, EC, E N, EN, IG, RM and DA.

TLG Volunteer Programmes are available for churches who have a heart for the struggling children and families in their communities. For Early Intervention (EI), we train, equip and support volunteers to coach children for an hour a week in school. For Make Lunch (ML), we train and support volunteers to provide nutritious meals and activities during the school holidays.

The TLG Regional Leader role offers a unique opportunity to manage a cluster of EI Centres and ML clubs within the South Central areas of England (including a large area of Central and Greater London). The ideal candidate will be a very organised, strong relationship builder with a vibrant Christian faith.

This key role involves training, leading and supporting new and established TLG EI and ML Programmes, working mainly with the Volunteer Coordinators who are leading their team of volunteers. The Regional Leader will be required to support progress against set key performance indicators to ensure the best possible support is given for thriving programmes.

TLG is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and their families and expects all staff including volunteers to share this commitment. The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced DBS check. The role will require you to travel. You will also be expected to attend events & meetings during the year as required along with visits to National Support office in Bradford, West Yorkshire.

The deadline for applications is 5pm, Thursday 30th April 2020 (this may be extended due to the Coronavirus pandemic). Video interviews and formal interviews will be arranged with dates communicated nearer the time.

Key Supporter Relationship Manager

Starting Salary: £24,022 - £29,336 (FTE) + London weighting (depending on experience)
Working hours: 37.50 Hours Part time hours negotiable. Utilising flexitime to enable occasional evening and weekend work.

Location: London or south-east, with extensive travel

As part of the National Development team, the Key Supporter Relationship Manager will work to inspire new relationships with donors and lead existing key supporters into greater involvement and giving to TLG. You’ll bring vital leadership to develop opportunities we’ve never explored before. You will play a lead role in bringing the necessary income to support our significant growth as we look to reach as many struggling children as possible across the UK.

This is a really exciting role to pioneer and you will be tasked with building a relationship pipeline, with the freedom to develop new ways to engage and steward potential donors. By networking, attending events, hosting guests at fundraising dinners, calling supporters, building relationships and asking donors to support specific projects, you will inspire new support, build on existing relationships and increase income that is vital for our future expansion.

We are looking for someone who is highly driven and able to inspire confidence in others. You will have experience of relationship management and the skills required in persuading, negotiating and communicating with people from a wide range of backgrounds. You may already have a proven track record of success in a fundraising environment and be ready for a new challenge that offers more scope and potential. Alternatively, you may not have worked in fundraising or even the charity sector before but have some transferable skills that can make a real difference. Either way, it’s an exciting time to join the organisation and help shape the future of TLG.

We are looking for individuals who have a strong and vibrant Christian faith. As part of our commitment to safeguarding, the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure via the DBS.

Volunteer Programmes Administrator

Starting Salary: £17,223 - £18,054
Working hours: 37.50 Hours

Location: National Support, West Yorkshire

We are looking for an exceptional individual with a passion to work in the TLG Volunteer Programmes (VP) Team, administering processes that ensure the growth of these programmes across the UK. The successful candidate will demonstrate great social and communication skills to achieve the best possible outcomes in providing administrative support for this team.

This key role will ensure prompt and accurate inputting of data and good communication with referees, volunteers, schools, churches and other team members. You will help support the organisation of VP Training Days across the UK, which involves organising resources for all the trainees.

TLG are looking for candidates with experience of handling competing pressures and delivering to targets.

Manchester Classroom Teacher

Working as part of the TLG centre team in Manchester, the Classroom Teacher post provides a unique opportunity to support young people experiencing educational crisis.

TLG Manchester is a centre for alternative education provision delivering tailored social and educational interventions for young people. The Classroom Teacher will play an integral role in enabling young people to get their lives back on track, through delivering innovative programmes, and working with the Centre Manager to ensure that the education centre achieves success.

The role involves assistance with the planning and delivery of lessons, leading sessions as timetabled and providing one-to-one support as appropriate to bring excellence to the young people’s learning experience.  The individual will also act as a link between TLG’s students, their families and the church community.

We are looking to recruit an individual with a strong and vibrant Christian faith. Graduate Teacher Training Programme 2020

National Development Phone Team

Starting Salary: £8.72 per hour
Working hours: 8 hours a week (usually Tuesday and Thursday, but subject to change on occasional basis)

Location: National Support, West Yorkshire

The Supporter Development team is passionate about developing the UK-wide reach and support of TLG. We exist because of the partnership with our incredible supporters and volunteers throughout the UK. This exciting, growing team is dedicated to further inspiring and building relationships with supporters so that together we can have a greater impact on struggling children and their families.

This role involves phoning existing and potential supporters to inspire them about the life transforming work of TLG. With excellent communication skills, the post holder will be responsible for connecting with supporters about a range of opportunities for them to engage with, and increase, their support of the charity. This team also has a strong focus on updating supporter contact information, so a keen eye for detail is necessary.

The post holder will be warm, friendly, driven, passionate, have great IT skills, be a strong communicator and must share a strong desire to see the lives of more children and families impacted by the local church throughout the UK!

We are looking for individuals who have a strong and vibrant Christian faith. Working hours are 8 hours a week during term time, usually on a Tuesday or Thursday but occasionally subject to change.
