TLG Director of Strategy & Programmes

TLG is a Christian charity, on a mission to bring hope and future to struggling children in and out of school. Through the local church, TLG currently runs 13 Education Centres, delivers over 100 Early Intervention programmes, and runs over 60 Make Lunch clubs tackling holiday hunger.

As TLG grows rapidly, we need a new leader to join us in another step-change moment. The Director of Strategy and Programmes will be a mission-driven and relational leader, with experience leading effective operational delivery through dispersed teams. They do not need charity experience, as long as their passion is to see the church in action, caring for struggling children.

This key role will design and deliver the strategic framework and operating models that support our programme delivery and development through various phases of exponential growth. Through an ever-expanding network of church partnerships, this leader will help us deliver truly transformative programmes.

TLG Church Partnership Coordinator

Starting Salary: £15,269 - £17,353 (FTE)
Working hours: 22.50 Hours Flexible hours, over a minimum of 4 days per week

The Church Partnership Team is passionate about growing the UK-wide reach and impact of TLG by inspiring and building relationships with churches.  The team have responsibility for generating new Church Partnerships for our rapidly growing Early Intervention and Make Lunch programmes.

The Church Partnership Coordinator will be a proactive and strategic project manager.  In this key role, we are looking for someone who is persuasive, determined and efficient in a range of administrative tasks. The role will be supporting our remote working Church Relationship Managers in building connections with church leaders across the UK.

You will co-ordinate processes and administration to ensure that all enquiries are dealt with professionally and promptly. This role is fundamental in ensuring that we reach our national growth by partnering with the local church. You'll also be developing relationships over the phone and email to build strong connections for the team, in many cases being the first point of contact. We're looking for a confident communicator and strong coordinator to take on this impacting role. We are seeking someone who loves the local church and is incredibly passionate about giving hope and a future to children and their families.

TLG Reading Classroom Teacher

Starting Salary: £23,089 - £27,283 (FTE)
Working hours: 37.50 Hours Term-time only

Working as part of the TLG centre team in Reading, the Classroom Teacher post provides a unique opportunity to support young people experiencing educational crisis.

TLG Reading is a centre for alternative education provision delivering tailored social and educational interventions for young people. Working in partnership with The Gate church, the Classroom Teacher will play an integral role in enabling young people to get their lives back on track, through delivering innovative programmes and working with the Centre Manager to ensure that the education centre achieves success.

The role involves leading the planning and delivery of lessons, delivering high quality lessons, leading sessions as timetabled and providing one-to-one support as appropriate to bring excellence to the young people’s learning experience.  The individual will also act as a link between TLG’s students, their families and the church community.

We are looking to recruit an individual with a strong and vibrant Christian faith. TLG is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff including volunteers to share this commitment.  The successful applicant will be required to undertake a DBS check.

TLG Key Relationship Manager (London)

Starting Salary: £23,551 - £28,761 (FTE)
Working hours: 37.50 Hours Negotiable, utilising flexitime to enable occasional evening and weekend work

The Key Relationships Manager will work to inspire new and existing Key Supporters into greater involvement with TLG. You’ll bring vital leadership to develop opportunities we’ve never explored before. You will play a lead role in bringing the necessary resources to support our significant growth as we look to reach as many struggling children as possible across the UK.

You will be tasked with building a pipeline, with the freedom to develop new ways to engage and steward potential donors. By networking, attending events, hosting fundraising dinners and building relationships, you will aim to draw supporters closer to the work of TLG and increase income that is vital for our future expansion.

We are looking for someone with experience of relationship management and the skills required in persuading, negotiating and communicating with people from a wide range of backgrounds. You may already have a proven track record of success in a fundraising environment and be ready for a new challenge that offers more scope and potential. Alternatively, you may not have worked in fundraising or even the charity sector before but have some transferable skills that can make a real difference. Either way, it’s an exciting time to join the organisation and help shape the future of TLG.

This role is predominately London based, with extensive travel. We are looking for individuals who have a strong and vibrant Christian faith. As part of our commitment to safeguarding, the successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure via the DBS.

Starting Salary: £7.90 per hour
