Church of England
Mary Hawes is currently the Church of England’s National Children and Youth Adviser. Since the age of 13 she has been involved with children and youth ministry of one kind or another, having lead her school Christian Union, taught in Essex, worked with Scripture Union and been Rochester Cathedral’s Education Officer. Along the way she was ordained as a deacon and priest in the Church of England and serves in a parish in Teddington.
In her spare time, she chairs the Governing Body of her local school, loves travel (outside of Covid restrictions) and loosely follows the fortunes of Watford FC.
